April showers bring...

Hi! A few things have happened since my last post.

First off: I won the sock competition!!

Can't wait to see my sock in real life and to do a photo session with them! It'll be a lot of fun to see my design come to life. I've been working on quite a few side projects. Finished up the Romantic Beast logo and soon that will be live. I am also putting together a "wedding" portion of my website to showcase some of the work I've done for couples during their special time!

This weekend I also worked on a small campaign for Fierce Backbone. They're an up-and-coming playwriting community and they'll be putting on some workshops in April & May. Here's an eblast that goes along with the whole campaign:

Other than that, nothing too much has been going on with me! It's Easter this weekend so that means...burgers and fries are back in my life! *whew* longest 40 days ever (not really).

Sock it to me!

I'm a huge fan of KC-based Sock 101. If you're close to me, you probably received a pair of their socks for Christmas! They had a little design contest brewing where you design a pair and then they pick the top 20 from the overall submissions. The 2nd phase is a voting one! I'm very fortunate to be selected as one of the finalists and even more humbled to have the support of my friends and family. Right now I've taken an early lead but I hope that the momentum keeps going until voting ends next Monday. Check it out and don't forget to vote! Remember: Charlie Brown wore chevron before it was trending on Pinterest. ;-)

Unexpectedly thrilled

Congrats to my lil sis who is the drumline instructor at Odessa High School! They took home 1st place this weekend at the MCCGA Percussion Super Show with their performance, "Unexpected." I love designing for these kiddos as the reactions they have are some of my favorites, ever. Always feels good to see your work IRL. Good thing Jill took this before lunch as they do tend to spill (high school kids...). I learned my lesson when the first year, the shirts were printed on white, lol.
